Hey guys! My friend and fellow animation addict AJ Howell did a fun podcast where we went over the upcoming 2016 animation calendar. We tried to give our insight into 18 films and what we are looking forward too and not so much. I would love your feedback. What about you? What excites you the most in the calendar?

I have already seen the little prince…otherwise I am mostly looking forward to Zootopia, Moana and the Laika movie….I was never a big fan of Finding Nemo, and I hate Pixar doing yet another sequel. Everything else looks a little bit dumb to me, but who knows, there might be a surprise down the line I haven’t really noticed yet.
I hope there will be! Those are definitely my top 3 as well. What’d you think of Little Prince? I hope April and the Extraordinary World will be cool surprise
Lot of potential wasted in the third act of the movie, but worth watching for the animation alone.
Cool.
Reblogged this on OUT OF ME HEAD.
Loved that Mark guy!
Hahaha. He’s so brilliant!
Awesome video to both of you Rachel and Alan! Wow, Alan, you liked Titan A.E. and Treasure Planet too, eh? That’s awesome! Glad to know I’m not alone on that. I’m just curious, is it bad for me to say that I was rather skeptical about Zootoopia and Moana coming out in the same year. Only reason being is because, well, some Disney films that did that didn’t seem to do so well in theaters. I mean if you think about it, Fantasia came out 9 months after Pinocchio. That film didn’t do too well. Emperor’s New Groove came out 7 months after Dinosaur. New Groove only did moderately well in theaters. Atlantis, 6 month after New Groove. Again, only moderately well. Then there came Treasure Planet only 5 months after Lilo & Stitch and that was a bomb. Finally, of course there was Home On The Range only 5 months after Brother Bear. That also was a bomb. Though I can definitely understand if that last one likely would have been a bomb anyway. Hopefully, with Moana coming out 8-9 months after Zootopia, it should have time to be advertised more and therefore stand a better chance of doing well at the box office.
As far as my top 5 animated for this year go, I’ll probably go Zootopia, Moana, Finding Dory, Secret Life Of Pets, & Angry Birds. Anyway, thank you both again for posting this video and I look forward to likely seeing yet another one of these later this year.
Sorry for not responding sooner. Your comment went to spam for some reason. I think you have an interesting point about double releases hurting the films. I hope that doesn’t happen this year but you never know.
My top 5 animated anticipated films for 2016:
1. Zootopia
2. Moana
3. Finding Dory
4. Secret Life Of Pets
5. Angry Birds Movie
