    1. Yeah absolutely. It was the most profound experience I’ve ever had at a movie theater. I cried for nearly 15 minutes after. It has adventure, stunning animation, beautiful music and I bonded emotionally with Ben’s journey. I’m surprised you’re surprised. I gush about that movie all the time on this blog

      1. Ah yeah my top 10 are all very close favorites. I just had such a strong response in the theater when I saw Song of the Sea that it gets the edge

      2. Anything else stand out? What would be your favorite you’ve seen in last 3 years?

  1. Wow, what a mammoth list! A lot of these I’ve never even heard of. I guess I pay more attention to American and Japanese animation that I forget about other international films.
I love Song of the Sea and Inside Out and can’t argue with your ranking, but my favorite of the last few years would have to be Big Hero 6. Between that and The Incredibles, Disney clearly knows a thing or two about a good superhero movie, even apart from Marvel. The only film from that timeframe that I didn’t see was Patema Inverted, an anime with a really cool concept of opposite gravities. It would be in my top ten.

    1. I love Big Hero 6. I found it heart warming and beautiful and fun. I’m glad it won the Oscar if Lego or the small films weren’t going to . Inside Out and Song of the Sea are spectacular. I’m so glad you loved them too
