Why do you still watch cartoons?

This is very well said and very true. For some animation is too separated from reality. For me it is like any other medium it can produce all ranges of emotions and reactions. I mean think we have everything from Winnie the Pooh to Akira to Waltz with Bashir. But I think what excites me about animation is it is literally art on the screen and so even a silly comedy has a new layer that I love so much. So yes I’m 34 years old and still watch cartoons!

  1. Wreck-It Ralph. I had all but given up on animation completely after 2011, and sitting through Cars 2, Gnomeo and Juliet, and Kung Fu Panda 2 (which I don’t like either). After seeing Brave and Monsters University, I give Wreck-It Ralph all the credit in the world for restoring my faith in animation and allowing me to appreciate it the way it was meant to be. It truly is one of the definitive examples of how to craft an animated film.

    1. That’s so awesome! It’s a very creative film with a lot of heart. I can see it having that effect on you. So glad!
