2016 Rachies

Oscar statuettes are displayed at Times Square Studios 23 January 2006 in New York. The statuettes will be presented to winners of the 78th Academy Awards 05 March 2006 in Hollywood.

In spirit of the Oscars (which I will not be watching this year because I am not a Chris Rock fan and they will only tick me off like they did last year) I am giving my own nominations and winners for the major categories (as well as making my own categories up!).   Last year the Rachies were all animation.  This year since I saw so many more films I expanded it.  So if I ran the world this is how it would all go down!

  1. I think one other category that would be neat in addition to Best Kiss would be Best Chemistry! May have to resurrect the Awards thing I did on my still-there-but-oft-forgotten blog, I think I had Chemistry on there, would for 2015 just for Lily James and Richard Madden alone! I do remember having vocal performance on there, I think I deleted the 2014 post because it aged itself after I saw a few other movies from that year.

  2. Reblogged this on Smilingldsgirl's Weblog and commented:

Who needs the Oscars? Over on my movie blog I present The Rachies. What I would nominate and win (including some of my own categories) as best of 2015. I think you will enjoy the post if you check it out.

  3. I somehow missed this post. Interesting nominees. I don’t see enough films in the year they come out to do my own awards show, but this is great.

Best Kiss award? Interesting. I think The Notebook and Aladdin kisses are my fave cinematic kisses.

    1. Yeah I was just trying to have some fun with my own categories. Those are definitely good kisses
